Run polls and ask questions using audiences' devices

Alfredo Corell's insight:
  1. Step 1.
Create a presentation in PowerPoint or Keynote, the same way you always did. Upload it to everyslide.com and press present.
  2. Step 2.
You will get a unique url the audience can use to join your slideshow using any device they happen to have. Now ask a question or run an instant poll.
  3. Step 3.
After the presentation, you can review participants' interactions online or download their contact details and answers as a spreadsheet.

Instant Opinion Polls in the Classroom

Instant Opinion Polls in the Classroom | Create, Innovate & Evaluate in Higher Education | Scoop.it

For a long time now I have been looking for a tool that enables instant polling in the classroom or in the lecture room. I specifically wanted something that; doesn't require registration (especially from the people I'm polling), updates very quickly, works on any platform from computers to mobile devices

It looks like I have finally found what I've been looking for and best of all it's free. The tool that I have found is Mentimeter and it does all of the above.

Presentain - Activate your audience with interactive presentations

Presentain - Activate your audience with interactive presentations | Create, Innovate & Evaluate in Higher Education | Scoop.it
Presentain helps speakers engage and grow their audiences. You use smartphone as a clicker and audience can connect to your presentation using their devices. They can ask you questions, participate in polls, send you follow-up requests, share your slides and more. While you present Presentain records your voice so when the presentation is over you can publish the slidecast (presentation slides with voice-over) and start growing your online audience.

Alfredo Corell's insight:

New version of Presentain. This service helps for audience engagement. If students use their tablets or smartphones at lectures, is a really good choice. Initial free pack (5 presentations, 7 slidecasts, 3 polls).
