Floors is a great application that allows students to design their own video game using basic skills for programming. I have used this application with third graders and they really enjoy it.

En tiempos de crisis es importante que el trabajador se sienta valorado. Y tal vez sea esta una de las razones del atractivo de la gamificación en España. “En momentos como este, hay una necesidad de aportar nuevos valores y de sacar los negocios adelante”, coincide Joan Arnedo, profesor de la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). Ha dictado talleres sobre esta técnica y este año busca a su primer doctorando en gamificación.

In games, the player makes decisions based on the perspective of someone else. This differs from other more passive media, like film, novels and television, where the viewer is the observer. Giving students an opportunity to reflect on games they've played, while weaving in class content, can add a layer of fun and authenticity!
