This ProAge Baby Boomer thinks there’s no way in hell that boomers want to move because of economics. Along with inflated interest rates that continue to rise, their tax base will also change. It’s not financially prudent to move to a fancy schmancy golf community with HOA fees that suck the life out of you.
Boomers want to travel and enjoy life. They prefer a house a bit too big than taking the risk of financial drain.
Oh and yes, let’s not forget about capital gains. Uncle Sam’s cut makes moving even more unappealing. If you’re a baby boomer, chime in and let me know what you think. 🤔
