Yann LeCun, directeur de recherches en intelligence artificielle chez Facebook (et français d'origine), répondait aux questions des internautes sur Reddit. Il en ressort l'importance des machines émotionnelles. Il pense qu'un système capable de ressentir des émotions comme dans le film "Her" est possible, mais en plus qu'une véritable intelligence artificielle n'est pas possible sans émotions.
